A graduate of Washington University of St. Louis, April has been a practicing LCSW since 2009. Prior to attending graduate school, she worked as a trail counselor at a wilderness intervention program, as well as in-home and in-school counseling programs, and a residential boarding school. She is experienced in working with youth and families, and believes in a strengths-based, solution focused model with a relationship focus as a means to establish a solid base of trust and acceptance so her patients feel safe to be authentic and vulnerable. She is certified in EMDR and has worked with trauma, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, self-harming behaviors and family therapy.
When not in the clinic, April enjoys hiking, being out in nature, working out, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
