US Supreme Court ruled in favor of CMS and reinstated the vaccine mandate that KCH had started to implement in December of last year, but paused until the legal challenges worked their way through the courts.
As the US Supreme Court is the final say on the matter, we must take up the mandate again and finish the work of compliance. As was before proof of compliance is either:

She took initiative when she saw our front office staff overwhelmed and stepped up to help us with scans, update forms, and greeting patients! Thank you so much and so glad you are apart of the Kaniksu Team! :) Bonners Ferry Front Office Team Raise the Bar See the Forest With an overly full schedule, Dr. Farnworth took a patient who showed up three hours early for an appointment. Mom had to work and couldn't make the later appointment and Dr. Farnworth accommodated the needs of our patients. The mom was grateful and so were we! Thank you Dr. Farnworth for seeing the forest! Melissa worked for a community health center in Phoenix, AZ for 6 years before taking a travel nurse position at KMC. After working at the hospital, she had the opportunity to work with a home health agency, which she enjoyed. Melissa loved the area so much that she decided to stay. She enjoys camping, hiking, fishing and anything on or around the water. She is excited to get to know everyone and continue the home health aspect of nursing in a clinic setting. Kara Gee, Certified Medical Assistant Kara comes to KCH with 30 years experience in healthcare. She is excited to be involved in community health again and to make a difference in our community. She spends her free time hiking, kayaking, jet skiing, paddle boarding, adventuring with her three beloved dogs and sometimes enjoys junk food and brewery sampling:) Keona Brown, Dental Assistant Born and raised in Sandpoint, Keona enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing, skiing and being out on the lake. Before joining the Sandpoint dental team, she was working at a coffee stand while completing dental assisting classes. Keona is currently taking dental hygiene classes to further her education. Keona might seem shy when you first meet her, but once you get to know her she will talk your ear off! Pam Hosking, School Counselor Originally from Virginia, Pam got married and settled in Concord, California. Pam graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS in Therapeutic Recreation and received her MSR from Indiana University in Recreation Therapy. While her children were in school, she worked as a substitute teacher. Most recently, Pam worked at John Muir Behavioral Health in their expressive arts department. After raising four children, Pam and her husband decided they were ready for a change and relocated to the area in which they vacationed many times, Sandpoint. She loves backpacking, hiking, biking, paddle boarding, skiing, baking and crafts. She is so excited to be partnering with the elementary schools and to be back in the classroom. Kami Cowley, Front Office Receptionist Kami is excited to return to Kaniksu after taking time off after having her daughter. You might recognize Kami from front office dental in Ponderay and now you will find her in front office family practice in Sandpoint. Born and raised in Bonners Ferry, Kami loves being a mom and enjoys growing house plants and listening to rap music. Welcome back to the team Kami!!! |

Credits can be "purchased" in $25 increments from Human Resources. A $25 credit will cost 50 You Earned it! points. Please allow up to two weeks to get your credit request processed. You will be notified by HR when your credit is available to use.
