Whole Health for your Whole Life Doctors Office
Kaniksu Community Health Doctor and Dental Office Logo

A small change in the right place can make all the difference.

In 2002, a dream was born from the idea that every person in North Idaho, regardless of their circumstances, should have access to quality healthcare. It was a great start, yet it quickly became evident our community needed more. We added dental, behavioral health, pediatric and VA care. Being truly accessible meant we needed extended hours and more locations to better meet your needs

After nineteen years, making quality & affordable healthcare accessible to everyone is still what drives us every day. Some of the programs we’ve added over the years include our in-school behavioral health in Bonner and Boundary county schools. Our outpatient opiate-addiction and substance abuse therapy. Our mobile clinic which will deliver healthcare to rural areas. Our achievement of a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home. And a new purpose-built integrated clinic. With these small changes over the years, we realized it was time our name and look reflect who we are today and will be tomorrow.

Imagine integrated healthcare that treats people, not symptoms. That’s whole health. Now imagine that same integrated care through all phases of your life. That’s whole health, for your whole life.  That’s Kaniksu Community Health.

Why the new name? Because our community is the center of everything we do and we have the honor of changing lives every single day.

Kaniksu Community Health is committed to providing clinical care that is integrative, grounded in relationships, and aligned with personal health goals. This is a whole package for success and we are excited to partner with you on your healthcare journey.

Our patients are at the center of everything we do.

Integrated healthcare for a patient-centered experience.
We deliver whole patient care regardless of age, economic situation, or health concern. Over the course of your life and the spectrum of your care, from prevention and wellness to medical, dental, and behavioral health, from pediatrics to geriatrics, our team-based approach to patient care means we will help you achieve or maintain good health.

Access for everyone.
Regardless of how you pay, or the complexity of your conditions, we will help you find solutions. We serve everyone in Bonner and Boundary counties, whether you are covered by Medicare or Medicaid, have private insurance, are a self-pay patient, or one of our country’s veterans. If there are any concerns about how you will pay for services, talk to us. We’re here to help.

We don’t just say it. We prove it.
Ranked in the top 10% of community health centers across the nation, we have implemented systems that monitor and improve our delivery of care year after year. For example:
Over a period of four years, we decreased the number of patients with uncontrolled diabetes from 36 to 14%.
In 2020, we reported the highest level of control in the state for our hypertensive population at 75%

Coordinate your healthcare in a way that you understand.
The healthcare landscape is a tough one to navigate and a big part of what we do is untangle that mess. We make it accessible, affordable, and achievable.

Your wellbeing starts with you, but when it comes to maintaining or improving your health, choose us, your partner in healthcare.
