Debra is a clinical alcohol drug counselor. She believes each and every one of us has our own unique story and possess tremendous potential. She encourages Person-centered therapy, with a strength-based approach to assist in identifying and building on strengths already present. Debra teaches effective tools for substance-use recovery including new skills for coping and improving life in recovery.
Teaching Relapse Prevention she assists clients in understanding addiction, triggers, and cravings, and supports a positive lifestyle change for healthy long term sobriety. In utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Intervention, Debra works with clients using an integrative approach to managing emotions, and modifying thoughts and behaviors that lead to addiction.
For over 9 years, Debra has worked with individuals and families from all walks of life that have been negatively impacted by drugs and/or alcohol, with a goal of helping them improve their life, relationships and family dynamics.
