Idaho native, Michaella Bailey, LMSW, graduated from Capella University, and practiced at Kaniksu Community Health for her internship. Michaella strives towards receiving her certification in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) as well as play therapy, in hopes of working with children and adults experiencing trauma. “I take a holistic strengths based approach to client care utilizing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma informed care strategies.” Michaella’s personal hobbies include photography, gardening, reading and traveling.

Should a provider consult be necessary, the after hours triage nurse has access to an on-call KCH provider. Language services are available.  Medically trained interpreters are available via phone to assist patients with their healthcare questions.

Kaniksu Community Health an FTCA Deemed facility.  This health center receives Health and Human Services (HHS) funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health related claims, including medical/dental/behavioral health malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals​.
The Federally Supported Health Centers Assistance Act of 1992 and 1995 granted medical malpractice liability protection through the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) to HRSA-supported health centers.
