Susanne spent the first part of her career at Hospice of North Idaho before transitioning to working with mostly kids and adolescents in the therapeutic setting. As a social worker, she places a high importance on a person’s environment as being a major influence, and she recognizes the need for people to have to learn to adapt to a changing and sometimes unpredictable environment. Her therapeutic approach is built on play therapy and polyvagal theory.
Susanne enjoys connecting with people. “I feel the quality and trust built in a therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in healing and change. I love getting to know people, what they value, and what is important to them.” In her spare time she enjoys being in nature with the people she cares about, good food, laughter, and finding joy in the simple things in life.
