Dr. Vizcarra earned her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and finished her residency in Pediatrics at UTHSC, where she served as the Pediatric Chief Resident for one year. Her training concentrated on enhancing all aspects of wellness that impact an individual's health and well-being. This was complemented by her residency at a children's hospital, which deepened her understanding of caring for pediatric patients. Moreover, she spent two years residing in the Peruvian jungle, where she worked with children in medical clinics. Her clinical interests include public health, emotional wellness, and their connection to physical well-being. Specializing in ages 0-21, she is fluent in both Spanish and English. She feels privileged to work as a pediatrician, enabling her to form personal connections with children and their families, being there for all their significant moments. She dedicates time to engage with them individually, ensuring that both they and their families comprehend the care plan and have their concerns addressed. During her leisure time, she can be found in the kitchen, indulging in her love for cooking. Additionally, she loves outdoor adventures with her husband, two children, and their energetic dog.
