VA Rural Health Clinic

Kaniksu Community Health is an authorized Mann-Grandstaff, Spokane VA Medical Center’s Rural Health Clinic. Our VA clinic provides the following care to Veterans who live in and around North Idaho, Northwest Montana and Northeast Washington:

Transfer of Care
Want to transfer your care to Kaniksu Community Health VA Rural Health Center? If you are currently under the care of the Spokane VAMC or CBOC, please contact the clinic for an appointment.

If you are currently under care at another VA or private clinic, contact the Eligibility Department at the Spokane VAMC (509) 434-7009 for assistance.​

7: 30 - 2:30 (some labs require you to travel to Spokane VAMC)


After Hours Help
If you need medication refills, have questions about a medication, or have any non-emergency medical related questions, please contact your care team via secure messaging at myhealth.va.gov
Having an emergency?  
​Please dial 911 or go to an emergency room. Emergencies include, but are not limited to: chest pain and shortness of breath

Hospitalization
If you are hospitalized in the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center your KCH care team will be notified
  • If you are hospitalized at another facility, please contact your KCH care team

A provider or triage nurse is available after hours for healthcare needs.  ​Call (208) 263-7101
Language services are available.  Medically trained interpreters are available via phone to assist patients with their healthcare questions.

Kaniksu Community Health an FTCA Deemed facility.  This health center receives Health and Human Services (HHS) funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health related claims, including medical/dental/behavioral health malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals​.
The Federally Supported Health Centers Assistance Act of 1992 and 1995 granted medical malpractice liability protection through the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) to HRSA-supported health centers. Under the Act, health centers are considered Federal employees and are immune from lawsuits, with the Federal government acting as their primary insurer.  More information is available here: http://www.bphc.hrsa.gov/ftca/about/index.html
